News from the Broker-In-Charge Update held on November 15

We had a great turnout for the Broker-In-Charge Update held at the Association Office on Wednesday.  Here are a few of the highlights:

President/CEO Peggy Hill gave a “Year In Review” that offered the following accomplishments

  • Building renovation completed in May after a long 8 months’ construction
  • New website launched in September with much improved functionality
  • Showing Time integration into MLS in March
  • Began uploading continuing education course completions in July for mandatory license renewals by June, 2018
  • MLS fees and Association membership fees remain unchanged for 2018

Education Director Dianna Brouthers gave an education update that included

  • Recent rulings by LLR
  • Use of the Offer Rejection form
  • Review of new forms 504 and 505 with an update on 310, 311, and 525
  • How to renew in 2018

SCR CEO Nick Kremydas gave an update on

  • House and Senate Tax Reform proposals  (click here for a copy of Nick’s handout)
  • Flood Insurance Reform
  • RPAC

Robert Mixon, BIC of Lake Life Realty was presented the Mack Chamblee Scholarship.  Robert is a recent graduate of LeadershipSCR.
