Attention BIC’s

As BIC, you are now required by LLR to take a specific BIC course, titled BIC Duties and Responsibilities, prior to renewal.  This 4-hour course counts as part of your elective requirement.  This mandatory course is IN ADDITION to the regular core course, TRID Safely in a Flood of Disclosures.

Because this course is not required of the general licensee population, it may not be easy to find before June 30.  Therefore, we are notifying you NOW that it is imperative for you to get this course out of the way as early as possible.

We are offering this course at the Association office on 06/21 to meet your licensing needs. Click here to register now.

If you are unable to attend this session and still need to complete this course prior to the June 30th renewal, we also offer this course online. Please visit here to take it online.

Western Upstate Association of REALTORS and Project Angel Wings Donate to Meals on Wheels

The Western Upstate Association of REALTORS and Project Angel wings donated 1,200 Little Debbie Snack Cakes to Anderson County Meals on Wheels. Thanks to your generous donations through our annual golf tournament and annual Christmas Drop-In, Project Angel Wings is able to help provide to families and local charities in need throughout the year.

Thank You for Giving to Our Blood Drive

Thank you to everyone who donated blood during our blood drive to benefit Anmed on May 10th.

A special thank you is extended to Keller Williams Western Upstate for providing snacks to all who donated.

RPAC funds working for you! Making a difference in your State, in your Industry, and in your Quality of Life.

RPAC Funds presented to Senator Thomas Alexander, Representative Bill Sandifer, and Representative Brian White for their Support of the real estate issues in our communities and in the State of South Carolina.

Without support of RPAC we could not have bettered our industry with license law reform or stronger criminal background checks. This legislative session, we will be tackling issues like transparency and uniformity in HOA’s, prohibition of eminent domain for Petroleum pipeline companies, and a review of beachfront jurisdiction lines, just to name a few.

April Market Updates

Supply remains low in most markets and categories. Buyer demand continues to show that there is room for growth, but we still have not reached a point where a year-over-year increase in the number of homes for sale can be anticipated. For the 12-month period spanning April 2017 through March 2018, Pending Sales in the Western Upstate region were down 0.9 percent overall. The price range with the largest gain in saleswas the $150,001 to $200,000 range, where they increased 8.4 percent.
